Nike will launch the Kobe 4 Protro “Draft Day Pack” at select retailers on June 26, offering buyers a blind-box experience with 14 possible colorways in each purchase.

The collection honors the 1996 NBA Draft, when 12 teams passed on Kobe Bryant before he was selected by the Charlotte Hornets and traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Each pair highlights one of those franchises, along with separate editions for the Hornets and for Bryant’s eventual Hall of Fame tenure in Los Angeles.

Thirteen of the shoes start with a white wear-away upper that gradually reveals the primary colors of the team it represents. The 14th pair, the most limited in the set, features a yellow and gold upper celebrating Bryant’s five championships in purple and gold.

Customers will not know which colorway they have secured until the box is opened after purchase or delivery. In addition to the sneakers, Nike is releasing a matching “Charlotte to LA” Dunk Low, Draft Day T-shirts, and a No. 8 Lakers icon jersey.
