The Los Angeles Lakers continued to stock their post-draft talent pool on June 25, signing undrafted prospects William Kyle III, Robbie Avila and Chase Ross to Exhibit 10 contracts.
William Kyle III
ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that former Syracuse center William Kyle III agreed to the non-guaranteed pact shortly after the 2026 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-9, 230-pound senior averaged 8.4 points on 66.1 percent shooting, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks last season with the Orange. Kyle previously spent two years at South Dakota State and one season at UCLA before finishing his college career in upstate New York.
Robbie Avila
DraftExpress’ Jon Chepkevich later reported the addition of Robbie Avila, who earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors at Saint Louis. The 6-foot-10 forward posted 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists while hitting 49.7 percent from the floor and 41 percent from three on 4.6 attempts per game. Avila spent his first two collegiate seasons at Indiana State.
Chase Ross
Chepkevich also confirmed the signing of Chase Ross, a defensive-minded guard out of Marquette. Ross averaged 14.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals, leading the Big East in steals during his senior campaign.
What the Deals Mean
Exhibit 10 contracts allow the Lakers to bring the trio into Summer League and training camp, with the option to convert them to two-way deals or secure bonuses if they join the South Bay Lakers of the G League. Los Angeles previously filled its two two-way slots with AK Okereke and Peter Suder.
Summer League Roster Taking Shape
Kyle, Avila and Ross join first-round pick Cameron Carr, two-way signees Okereke and Suder, and potentially second-year wing Adou Thiero on the Lakers’ Summer League squad. Additional undrafted players and G League veterans are expected to round out the roster before play begins next month.
