Ann Arbor, Mich. — Michigan guard Elliot Cadeau will remove his name from the 2026 NBA Draft and head back to campus for a senior season, agent Drew Gross told CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein on Monday.
The 6’1” junior entered the draft process after guiding the Wolverines to the NCAA championship in early April. During the six-game title run, he averaged 12.3 points, 7.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals while shooting 38.7% from three, earning both NCAA All-Tournament recognition and Most Outstanding Player honors.
Cadeau started his college career with two seasons at North Carolina before transferring to Michigan. In 2025-26, he appeared in all 40 games, logging 27.3 minutes per night and posting 10.5 points, 5.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 0.9 steals on .411/.376/.709 shooting splits.
A native of New Jersey, Cadeau attended the NBA G League Combine earlier this month and worked out for the New York Knicks on May 5. His return was widely expected; ESPN’s latest top-100 draft board did not include him.
The Wolverines will now retain a key backcourt piece as they look to defend their national title in 2026-27.
