Los Angeles — The Los Angeles Clippers and guard Cam Christie have agreed to delay the guarantee date on his 2026-27 salary from June 30 to July 20, according to The Athletic. The new deadline falls one day after the NBA’s Summer League concludes.
Christie, 20, is scheduled to earn $2.3 million in 2026-27 if he remains on the roster past the new July 20 cutoff. The 6-foot-6 guard was selected 46th overall in the 2024 draft and has seen limited minutes in his first two NBA seasons, appearing in 55 games last year while averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds over 8.7 minutes per contest.
His rookie contract runs through the 2027-28 season. Los Angeles holds a $2.5 million team option for that final year, with a separate guarantee date set for June 30, 2027.
