The Brooklyn Nets have reached a two-year, $18 million agreement with free-agent wing Keon Ellis, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Charania reported that the contract is fully guaranteed and includes a mutual option, though detailed terms were not disclosed. Ellis, 26, became available after finishing last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who acquired him from the Sacramento Kings at the trade deadline.
While Ellis did not appear in Cleveland’s postseason rotation, he impressed during the regular season with his energetic perimeter defense and reliable spot-up shooting. Over four NBA seasons, the former Alabama guard has converted 40.7 percent of his three-point attempts.
Undrafted in 2022, Ellis spent his first three-plus seasons with the Kings before closing the 2025-26 campaign in Cleveland. He now joins a Nets roster looking to bolster its perimeter defense and floor spacing.
