Guard Luke Kennard is set to leave the Los Angeles Lakers and join the Phoenix Suns when NBA free agency opens on June 30, 2026.
The veteran sharpshooter, 30, will exit Los Angeles after one season in purple and gold. Terms of his impending deal with Phoenix were not disclosed.
Kennard, a former first-round pick, averaged 11.2 points and shot 42.5 percent from three-point range last year, giving the Suns an additional perimeter threat alongside Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
The move adds depth to Phoenix’s backcourt while the Lakers now face the task of replacing one of their top outside shooters.
