With 30 selections completed on Tuesday, several highly rated players remain unclaimed as the 2026 NBA draft enters its second night. Duke wing Isaiah Evans, North Carolina center Henri Veesaar, and Arkansas guard Meleek Thomas headline the group of prospects still on the board.

Evans was the only one of the 24 green-room invitees who did not hear his name called during the first round. League observers expect him to be among the first picks when the draft resumes Wednesday evening.

Mock Draft Projections

• In Sam Vecenie’s second-round mock for The Athletic, Evans lands with the New York Knicks at No. 31.
• ESPN’s Jeremy Woo projects the Duke shooter to the Minnesota Timberwolves at No. 33 and slots Veesaar to New York at No. 31, followed by Cincinnati forward Baba Miller to the Memphis Grizzlies at No. 32.

Both analysts forecast Thomas going within the first four picks of the second round. German guard Jack Kayil, Louisville guard Ryan Conwell, BYU wing Richie Saunders, and Houston guard Emanuel Sharp are also expected to come off the board among the opening 10 selections of Round 2.

Pick 31 in Play

Since the NBA shifted the draft to a two-day format in 2024, the No. 31 pick has become a frequent trade target. The Knicks—who traded down from No. 24 three times on Tuesday—currently own Nos. 31, 47, and 55, but could move the top second-round pick if another team zeroes in on a specific player.

Last year, the Phoenix Suns packaged two future second-rounders to acquire No. 31 from Minnesota, jumping from No. 36 to select Rasheer Fleming, a player Boston was rumored to consider at No. 32.

The second round begins Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.
