Center Xavier Tillman Sr. has agreed to a deal with Trabzonspor, the Turkish club announced Wednesday morning.

Tillman, 27, wraps up a five-year NBA stint that began when the Memphis Grizzlies selected him 35th overall in the 2020 draft. After three-and-a-half seasons in Memphis, the 6-foot-8 big man was traded to the Boston Celtics at the 2024 trade deadline. He re-signed with Boston later that year before being moved to the Charlotte Hornets earlier this season in a tax-saving deal for the Celtics.

Playing time has dwindled for Tillman in recent campaigns. During the 2025/26 season he appeared in 30 games for Boston and Charlotte, averaging 6.1 minutes, 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds.

Trabzonspor finished last season 19-11 in the Basketbol Süper Ligi and has already bolstered its roster with NBA veterans Shaquille Harrison and Emanuel Terry. The club will also compete in the 2026/27 Basketball Champions League.

Tillman’s addition is expected to strengthen a frontcourt aiming to push the team deeper into both domestic and international competitions next year.
