Milwaukee — The Milwaukee Bucks selected forward Nate Ament with the 13th overall choice in the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23, using the highest pick they received in last season’s trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo out of town.
The No. 13 selection was one of several assets Milwaukee obtained in the blockbuster deal that moved the two-time MVP. Ament is the first player added to the roster directly through that package, marking an early benchmark in the Bucks’ rebuilding strategy.
Milwaukee still controls additional draft selections and other considerations from the Antetokounmpo trade, but Thursday’s pick was the most significant immediate return. Team officials said they expect Ament to join the summer program once rookie contracts are finalized.
