The Sacramento Kings will host a pre-draft workout on Friday that features Boopie Miller (SMU), Nick Boyd (Wisconsin), Lamar Wilkerson (Indiana), Anthony Roy (Oklahoma State), Izaiyah Nelson (South Florida) and Ugonna Onyenso (Virginia), according to James Ham of The Kings Beat.
Sacramento owns three selections in the upcoming NBA Draft—Nos. 7, 34 and 45. On ESPN’s big board, Onyenso is ranked No. 43 and Nelson No. 47, making the pair the highest-rated prospects among Friday’s visitors.
Sabonis Trade Talk Dismissed
After reporter Evan Sidery tweeted that the Hornets and Kings had discussed a deal centered on three-time All-Star center Domantas Sabonis during the 2025-26 season, Ham refuted the claim. A league source told him the report was “not accurate.” Sabonis is under contract for $94.1 million over the next two seasons.
Mock Draft Roundup for Kings and Warriors
Nick Avila of NBC Sports Bay Area surveyed seven mock drafts covering the lottery picks held by Sacramento (No. 7) and Golden State (No. 11). Four projections send former Houston Cougars guard Kingston Flemings to the Kings. For the Warriors, only one prospect appears more than once: Mexican forward Karim Lopez, who played the past two seasons with the New Zealand Breakers in the NBL.
Suns Eye Possibility of Moving Up
The Phoenix Suns currently hold just the 47th overall pick, but Gerald Bourguet of Sports360AZ.com notes the club’s recent tendency to trade both up and down the board. While Phoenix has limited assets, Bourguet lists five players the team should target if it can secure a first-round selection, including Stanford forward Ebuka Okorie and Iowa State guard Joshua Jefferson.
All three Pacific Division teams continue to evaluate options as the draft approaches.
