The Los Angeles Lakers on Monday released their complete 2026 preseason schedule, featuring five exhibition games against the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets.
The team will open the slate on Oct. 5 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, then travel south for a back-to-back meeting with the Warriors on Oct. 6 at Chase Center in San Francisco. Because NBA clubs arrange their own preseason calendars, the consecutive road games were scheduled by the Lakers themselves.
Following the two-game trip, the Lakers return to Crypto.com Arena for a home contest against Sacramento on Oct. 8. The annual visit to Las Vegas is set for Oct. 13, when Los Angeles faces Golden State at T-Mobile Arena. The preseason concludes on Oct. 16 with a matchup against the defending champion Nuggets at Crypto.com Arena.
Head coach JJ Redick will have only five tune-ups to evaluate a revamped roster that now includes Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Collin Sexton. With limited game action, training-camp practices and scrimmages are expected to carry added weight as the staff tests lineup combinations and rotations.
