NBA Tabs Yaxel Lendeborg as Las Vegas Summer League MVP

Golden State Warriors forward Yaxel Lendeborg added another honor to his brief NBA résumé on Sunday, earning Most Valuable Player of the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League. The rookie had already been named MVP of the Summer League championship game earlier in the day.
The league said all 30 clubs voted to select both the overall MVP and the two All-Summer League teams.
All-Summer League First Team
- Cameron Boozer, Grizzlies
- Brayden Burries, Bucks

- Caleb Wilson, Bulls
Boozer (No. 3 overall), Wilson (No. 4), Burries (No. 10) and Lendeborg (No. 11) were all 2026 lottery selections, while Thomas went 34th. Thomas led the event in scoring with 27.3 points in 29.0 minutes per game and shot .500/.438/1.000 across four appearances. Burries and Wilson each averaged 23.5 points on 50.0 percent shooting; Wilson also posted 7.3 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and a Summer League-high 5.3 turnovers per contest. Lendeborg produced 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals, while Boozer finished at 18.5 points, 8.0 boards, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals. Boozer’s Grizzlies fell to Lendeborg’s Warriors in Sunday’s title game.
All-Summer League Second Team

Four members of the 2025 draft class populated the second team. Pullin, undrafted in 2024 and now on a two-way deal with Minnesota, averaged 21.0 points and 7.8 assists in five games. Maluach led all players with 12.8 rebounds while adding 19.5 points per outing. Coward scored 19.0 points per game and hit 41.7 percent from three-point range. Demin contributed 21.0 points, 4.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds, and McNeeley connected on 52.6 percent of his three-point attempts (10-for-19) while putting up 21.7 points per contest.
