Florida men’s basketball coach Todd Golden has rejected speculation that he might leave Gainesville to join the Golden State Warriors’ coaching staff, according to a report published by Hoops Wire.
The outlet noted recent chatter linking Golden to an NBA job in the Bay Area, but the 38-year-old coach made it clear he intends to remain with the Gators. No meetings or formal discussions with Golden State were reported, and Golden reiterated his commitment to the University of Florida program.
Golden is entering his third season in Gainesville after guiding Florida to back-to-back postseason appearances. Before taking the job in 2022, he spent three seasons as head coach at the University of San Francisco.
The Warriors’ staff remains intact under head coach Steve Kerr, and the franchise has not announced any vacancies.
