The Brooklyn Nets selected Iowa State All-American Josh Jefferson with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23.
Jefferson, who earned consensus All-America honors after a standout season in Ames, becomes the latest college star to join a Nets roster that has emphasized young talent through the draft.
The 21-year-old’s combination of size and skill convinced Brooklyn’s front office to use its late first-round choice on the Cyclones standout, making him the first Iowa State player taken by the franchise since the team relocated to Brooklyn.
