The Los Angeles Lakers stayed unbeaten in the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League, rolling past the Dallas Mavericks 91-70 on July 11 at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Key performer: Forward Arthur Kaluma powered the victory with 34 points and five rebounds, shooting 11-for-16 from the field and 6-for-10 from three-point range. His performance strengthened his bid for a two-way NBA contract.

Short-handed start: First-round pick Cameron Carr missed the game with a right thumb contusion, and Los Angeles fell behind 5-0 before Adou Thiero’s three-point play broke the ice. Kaluma, Jon Elmore and Peter Suder helped the Lakers edge ahead 21-19 after one quarter.

Maintaining control: Kaluma poured in 18 first-half points, but a last-second Dallas triple trimmed L.A.’s lead to 47-44 at intermission. The Lakers responded with a 20-13 third quarter, highlighted by back-to-back Suder threes, to enter the final period up 67-57.

Closing surge: Kaluma and Suder continued to connect from deep, while Thiero added a transition dunk as Los Angeles stretched the margin to 21 and cruised to the finish.
