Stephen Curry is scaling back his summer workload, DaRon Holmes II is fully cleared after an Achilles injury, and Davion Mitchell plans offseason workouts with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Warriors

Golden State guard Stephen Curry said his top offseason goal is to stay healthy after missing more than two months last season with a right-knee injury. “My knee is feeling great,” the 38-year-old told NBC Sports Bay Area.

Curry has replaced many of his usual on-court sessions with rounds of golf, favoring rest over nonstop workouts. “It’s just a more patient approach—quality over quantity,” he said, adding that the strategy is designed to preserve energy for a full 18th NBA season.

Denver forward DaRon Holmes II, who tore his Achilles tendon in his Las Vegas Summer League debut two years ago, is healthy and working to earn a bigger role. According to The Denver Gazette, the 22-year-old was not on this year’s Summer League roster but practiced with the squad to stay involved.

“I feel great out there,” Holmes said, noting that the injury forced him to broaden his game beyond pure athleticism. “I feel like I’m learning new things about my game.”

Heat

Guard Davion Mitchell intends to travel to Greece later this month to train with newly acquired Miami teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo after attending an NBPA event in Spain. “Immediately after I found out [about the trade], I got his number and I texted him,” Mitchell told the Miami Herald.

The 25-year-old said he has spent much of the offseason refining his catch-and-shoot jumper and trimming weight to bolster his defensive effectiveness as the Heat chase another deep postseason run.
