The Los Angeles Lakers on April 18, 2026, named Ryan Kantor their Vice President of Global Partnerships, a newly created role focused on expanding sponsorship revenue and developing domestic and international business.

Kantor will direct sales strategy and seek new commercial opportunities for one of the most recognizable brands in sports. “Ryan has a proven record in corporate partnerships and new business development with Southern California sports teams and venues,” Lakers President of Business Operations Lon Rosen said in a statement. “His results-driven leadership and innovative sales strategies will drive long-term growth for the Lakers.”

Before joining the Lakers, Kantor worked with the L.A. Clippers, the Kia Forum and the under-construction Intuit Dome. His résumé also includes leading new business efforts for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Anaheim Ducks.

The hire is part of a broader expansion of the Lakers’ front-office staff. Since Mark Walter became majority governor, the organization has invested in additional personnel to bolster revenue streams and global reach. The franchise’s international profile has grown further with star guard Luka Doncic on the roster.

Rosen, who previously worked for the Dodgers, said he plans to apply best practices from that organization to the Lakers’ business operations.
