Retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady drew cheers at Fanatics Fest on July 18, 2026, when he knocked down a half-court jumper during a basketball exhibition at the New York fan convention.

A video posted by The Athletic showed Brady casually stepping past the mid-court line and burying the shot, prompting an ovation from spectators packed inside the venue. The clip, filmed by attendee @BrooksDT, quickly circulated on social media.

Brady, 46, ended his football career with seven Super Bowl titles—six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His athletic longevity has been cited by NBA star LeBron James, who has credited the quarterback as proof that elite athletes can remain productive into their 40s.

James has also participated in Fanatics Fest events, although his team destination for the upcoming NBA season remains unannounced.

The half-court make added a basketball highlight to the multi-day gathering, which features athletes across multiple sports meeting fans, signing memorabilia and taking part in exhibition activities.
