A speculative three-team trade outlined by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley would move Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown to the Atlanta Hawks in one of the offseason’s biggest potential shake-ups.

Under Buckley’s scenario, Atlanta would acquire Brown, New Orleans Pelicans center Yves Missi, and Golden State Warriors forward Kevon Looney. The Celtics would receive Pelicans wing Trey Murphy III and Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu. New Orleans would land top prospect Zaccharie Risacher, Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga in a sign-and-trade, the No. 8 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and additional future draft assets.

Buckley argued that Brown, a Georgia native, could be the elite scorer Atlanta needs alongside its emerging young core. The Hawks already made headlines at the February trade deadline by sending Trae Young to the Washington Wizards yet still finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Brown, 29, averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists this season while teammate Jayson Tatum missed extended time with an Achilles injury. Although Boston has not indicated it plans to trade the four-time All-Star, league reporter Jake Fischer recently identified Atlanta as a club to monitor should the Celtics consider offers.

The proposed transaction remains purely hypothetical, but it highlights the growing speculation ahead of the NBA offseason.
