The Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards officially completed a long-anticipated six-team trade on Wednesday, confirming a series of transactions that had been circulating for weeks.

Key player movement

Dallas Mavericks: Added forward Santi Aldama and secured the draft rights to Turkish wing Tarik Biberovic, who is expected to sign after several seasons overseas.

Memphis Grizzlies: Acquired center Isaiah Stewart and guard D’Angelo Russell while collecting additional draft assets.

Detroit Pistons: Landed forward John Collins in a sign-and-trade and bolstered the wing rotation with veterans Taurean Prince and Gary Harris.

Milwaukee Bucks: Received swingman Caris LeVert on an expiring deal along with future second-round picks.

Washington Wizards: Brought back forward Khris Middleton on a three-year contract, then rerouted Russell to Memphis as part of the overall swap.

Los Angeles Clippers: Facilitated the Collins sign-and-trade and created a sizable trade exception that can be used later in the offseason.

Cap implications

All six clubs are now hard-capped at the NBA’s first tax apron for the 2026-27 season, according to Hoops Rumors. None of the teams is currently projected to exceed that threshold.

The completion of Wednesday’s paperwork makes official one of the most complex trades of the league’s busy summer.
