The Indiana Pacers have reached a one-year agreement with free-agent forward/center Larry Nance Jr., according to multiple league sources.

ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal, listing the value at approximately $4 million. Additional details from Circle City Spin’s Tony East indicate the contract is expected to be a veteran minimum, placing Nance’s 2026-27 salary near $3.88 million and creating a cap hit of about $2.45 million for Indiana.

Nance, 33, enters his 12th NBA season after logging 581 regular-season games with five franchises since being selected 27th overall in the 2015 draft. Over the past two years with Atlanta and Cleveland, the Ohio native appeared in only 59 contests because of injuries to his hand, knee and calf.

Health setbacks limited Nance to 35 outings with the Cavaliers in 2025-26. During that span, he posted career lows in scoring (3.7 ppg), rebounding (2.7 rpg), playing time (12.8 mpg) and field-goal accuracy (41.9%).

Indiana’s current payroll sits close to the first-apron hard cap threshold. As noted by Yossi Gozlan of The Third Apron, the club would need to open a roster spot or salary slot for Nance unless the contract is structured as a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10, which would not count against the cap. Center Micah Potter is on a non-guaranteed minimum deal for 2026-27, and guard Quenton Jackson has a $275,000 partial guarantee that expires next week, making either player a possible cut if the Pacers need to clear space.

Nance’s signing provides additional frontcourt depth as Indiana prepares for the 2026-27 campaign. Specific guarantee terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.
