Front-office officials around the NBA expect the Boston Celtics to trade All-Star wing Jaylen Brown at some point, league sources told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Those executives are reportedly focused on when and where the deal happens, rather than whether it will occur.

The Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers have all expressed interest, according to the report.

Trail Blazers holding key pieces

Portland has refused to include forward Deni Avdija in negotiations for either Brown or the earlier pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo, per Scotto. The Celtics are said to covet Toumani Camara and Donovan Clingan, but the Blazers have also declined to part with those players. Former lottery picks Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson are considered available in discussions for Brown.

Hornets talks cool off

Charlotte explored a package built around Naz Reid and Miles Bridges, but conversations have cooled, league sources said.

Other potential bidders

Atlanta is viewed as unlikely to submit an all-in offer, while the Clippers were mainly linked to Brown ahead of the draft, when they controlled the No. 5 pick that became Keaton Wagler.

The New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic have been mentioned on the periphery, yet none are actively pursuing the 29-year-old wing at this time.
