The Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers have tendered qualifying offers to forwards Enrique Freeman and Chris Manon, officially turning both into restricted free agents for the 2026 offseason.
The offers match the standard one-year, two-way contract and include a projected partial guarantee of approximately $91,000. By extending the tenders, each club preserves the right to match any offer sheet the players may sign elsewhere.
Freeman, 25, appeared in four NBA games for Minnesota during the 2025-26 season, averaging 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 9.3 minutes. Selected 50th overall in the 2024 draft, the 6’7″ power forward played a far larger role with the G League’s Iowa Wolves, where he posted 16.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 33.2 minutes over 39 outings while shooting 54.2% from the field.
Manon, an undrafted 6’4″ wing who signed with Los Angeles last year, logged 46 total NBA minutes across nine games (5.1 MPG). In 46 G League appearances, he averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks in 26.9 minutes, shooting 51.1% overall.
Minnesota also issued a qualifying offer to guard/forward Jaylen Clark. The move secures matching rights on the former second-round pick, though the Timberwolves and Clark have reportedly reached agreement on a new three-year, $10 million contract.
