The Toronto Raptors have reached a two-year agreement worth $4.8 million with free-agent guard Alijah Martin, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The second season of the deal carries only a partial guarantee, Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy reported.
Martin, selected 39th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, spent his rookie year on a two-way contract. Toronto issued a two-way qualifying offer last week, making him a restricted free agent. The new arrangement moves the 6-foot-2 guard to the team’s 15-man roster under a standard NBA contract.
The contract is set at the league minimum, giving Martin a projected cap hit of approximately $2.19 million—slightly under the veteran minimum of $2.45 million—providing the Raptors with minor additional flexibility against the salary cap and tax apron.
During the 2025-26 season, Martin appeared in 23 games off the bench for the Raptors, averaging 2.2 points in 6.3 minutes per contest. He logged most of his playing time with Raptors 905 in the G League, where he produced 18.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals across 40 games while shooting 48.7% from the field and 39.6% from three-point range.
With a new standard deal in place, Martin will attempt to earn a regular spot in Toronto’s backcourt rotation as he enters his second NBA season.
