Paris Basketball announced it has reached an agreement with free-agent point guard Tyson Etienne, bringing the 26-year-old to the French club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Etienne spent the entire 2025/26 campaign on a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets. He appeared in 24 NBA games, averaging 7.9 points and 1.7 assists over 15.8 minutes while shooting 40.0% from the field, 39.8% from three and 83.3% at the foul line.
The Wichita State product went undrafted in 2022 and opened his professional career in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks, Atlanta’s affiliate. His breakout year came in 2024/25 with the Long Island Nets, where he posted 17.1 points, 3.5 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game on 46.4% shooting overall and 41.8% from deep across 48 contests (34.5 MPG).
Brooklyn converted his strong G League play into a two-way deal in March 2025, allowing him to make seven NBA appearances to close the 2024/25 season. He re-signed on another two-way pact last summer and added 32 G League outings in 2025/26, averaging 16.3 points, 3.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 steal while hitting 39.4% of his nearly 10 three-point attempts per game.
Paris Basketball competes in France’s LNB Élite and the EuroLeague, regarded as the top competition outside the NBA. The upcoming season will mark Etienne’s first stint overseas.
