The Indiana Pacers have finalized a two-way contract with forward Kobe Brown, the team confirmed in a press release issued at 3:24 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tony East of Forbes first reported at 1:33 p.m. that the Pacers had reached an agreement to bring back the free-agent swingman. Brown, selected 30th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, spent two-and-a-half seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers before arriving in Indiana as part of February’s blockbuster trade that also included center Ivica Zubac.

Given expanded opportunities on an injury-depleted roster, the 6-foot-7 forward averaged 9.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.7 minutes across 27 games for Indiana, shooting 50.3 percent from the field, 43.3 percent from three-point range and 78.8 percent at the free-throw line.

Because the Pacers declined Brown’s fourth-year rookie-scale option, the club could not extend a qualifying offer to keep him as a restricted free agent. The new two-way deal makes him eligible to appear in up to 50 regular-season games during the 2026-27 campaign and can pay him as much as $678,882.

Brown joins Taelon Peter and Ethan Thompson, both on the second year of their own two-way contracts, filling Indiana’s third slot for the moment. The Pacers still hold a two-way qualifying offer for Jalen Slawson and reportedly plan to sign second-round pick Braden Smith to a similar agreement, moves that could prompt additional roster shuffling before opening night.
