The Denver Nuggets announced Saturday that Aaron Gordon will suit up for Game 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves as the defending champions attempt to knot their first-round series at two games apiece.

Gordon had been listed as questionable after sitting out Game 3 with tightness in his left calf. He took part in a walkthrough during Friday’s practice, and medical staff later approved him for game action.

“We’ll try to use him the way we would’ve used him anyway,” acting head coach David Adelman told reporters, stressing the importance of in-game communication.

The 28-year-old forward posted 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes during Denver’s Game 1 victory, shooting 5-for-10 from the field. He followed with eight points, seven boards and four assists in 37 minutes in the Game 2 loss.

Gordon’s availability bolsters a frontcourt that remains without reserve forward Peyton Watson, who is sidelined by a strained right hamstring.

Limited to 36 regular-season appearances because of various injuries, Gordon averaged 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 27.9 minutes while shooting 49.7 percent overall and 38.9 percent from three-point range.
