Front Offices Brace for Potential Summer Moves by LeBron, Giannis and Kawhi

Several NBA teams are preparing for an offseason that could see LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard each change uniforms, according to a report from Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

League executives told Stein they expect conversation about the trio to dominate the coming months and believe two, or possibly all three, could be with new clubs when the 2024–25 season begins.

LeBron James

James, 41, will enter unrestricted free agency for the first time since 2018. Early indications suggest his options are returning to the Los Angeles Lakers or beginning a third stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

After a turbulent season in Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo remains the subject of trade speculation. Front-office sources cited by Stein have linked the Lakers, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks to potential pursuits.

Kawhi Leonard

Leonard is approaching the final year of his contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. Following recent roster changes, rival teams have quietly begun monitoring his availability.

No deals are imminent, but the uncertainty surrounding three franchise players has executives gearing up for a potentially transformative summer.
