The NBA’s newly released playoff schedule shows the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets playing their entire first-round matchup over a span that exceeds two weeks, making it one of the most drawn-out series on the opening slate.

Details published Wednesday outline game dates that extend well past the typical 10-day window often allotted for first-round encounters. While exact tip-off times were not immediately disclosed, the calendar confirms generous gaps between contests and a potential Game 7 set more than 14 days after Game 1.

The extended timeline means both clubs will receive additional rest days as they navigate travel between Los Angeles and Houston. It also provides the league with added prime-time television slots during the opening round.

The Lakers secured home-court advantage by finishing higher in the Western Conference standings, guaranteeing that Games 1, 2 and, if necessary, Game 7 will be played at Crypto.com Arena. The Rockets will host Games 3 and 4 at Toyota Center, with Games 5 and 6, if required, alternating back to Los Angeles and Houston, respectively.

The best-of-seven series winner will advance to face the survivor of the No. 3 vs. No. 6 matchup in the conference semifinals.
