As the NBA Draft approaches, speculation around several high-profile players continues to swirl.

Kevin Durant

League sources say Rockets forward Kevin Durant remains one of the summer’s biggest question marks. Although many executives still consider Houston the most probable destination when next season tips off, the 37-year-old scorer is regularly linked to other clubs. Recent chatter has tied the Heat and Timberwolves to potential pursuits, and some observers have not ruled out a reunion with the Warriors. According to Heavy Sports, multiple front-office officials believe a trade for Durant is still possible.

Jamal Murray and the Nuggets

Denver is expected to explore roster upgrades around two-time MVP Nikola Jokić, yet Jamal Murray does not appear to be part of those discussions. Heavy Sports reports that the Nuggets remain reluctant to move the 27-year-old guard, who is under contract for three more seasons. Despite previous injury concerns, the organization views Murray as an essential piece of its championship core and is more likely to pursue smaller complementary moves than a blockbuster deal.

Trey Murphy III and the Pelicans

New Orleans forward Trey Murphy III has become a popular target among rival general managers. Executives intend to gauge his availability during the offseason, but sources say the Pelicans showed little interest in moving him at the trade deadline and would demand a significant return. Murphy’s combination of size, shooting and defense makes him one of the league’s most sought-after young wings.

With draft night approaching, league insiders expect trade discussions to intensify, but no immediate moves are considered imminent for Durant, Murray or Murphy.
