MILWAUKEE — Center Myles Turner says his brief stint with the Milwaukee Bucks exposed a “loose” environment in which punctuality and accountability were routinely ignored.
Speaking on his podcast, Turner recalled that “guys were late all the time, guys were missing meetings,” calling it “one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced.” He also suggested that star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo enjoyed broader latitude than most teammates. “Giannis is going to show up whenever he wants,” Turner said. “I think it just came with the territory.”
Antetokounmpo quickly responded on social media, urging outsiders to “mind their business.” Teammate Bobby Portis added his own post on May 15, 2026, writing, “Damn this AI???”
Shifting Roster and Uncertain Future
The Bucks have struggled to recreate the form that delivered the 2021 NBA championship. Key contributors Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday have departed, on-court results have dipped, and league insiders are openly debating whether Antetokounmpo could be moved this offseason.
If the two-time MVP remains, newly hired head coach Taylor Jenkins will be charged with re-establishing structure and discipline. If a trade materializes, Milwaukee’s roster and trajectory would reset entirely.
Either scenario marks a pivotal moment for a franchise once defined by stability and now facing pointed questions about its internal culture.
