The Dallas Mavericks have obtained forward Zaccharie Risacher from the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team trade that also involved the Oklahoma City Thunder, ESPN reported.
Dallas sent reserve guard Ryan Nembhard to the Hawks and shipped a second-round draft choice to the Thunder. Oklahoma City, in turn, moved wing Lu Dort to Atlanta.
Risacher, 21, entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft but struggled to secure a consistent role with Atlanta. Over two seasons he averaged 11.1 points and 3.7 rebounds, and his minutes dropped during the Hawks’ recent postseason appearance.
The 6-foot-9 Frenchman joins fellow former No. 1 selections Kyrie Irving and reigning Rookie of the Year Cooper Flagg on the Mavericks’ roster.
Risacher is due $13.8 million this season and carries a $17 million team option for 2027-28 that Dallas must decide on by Oct. 31.
He will make his Mavericks debut under first-year head coach Dusty May, while newly appointed president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri oversees the franchise’s next steps.
