LAS VEGAS — No. 4 overall pick Caleb Wilson boosted the Bulls’ optimism during Summer League, averaging 23.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks while hitting 41.9 percent of his three-point attempts over four games, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Wilson noted free-throw shooting as a primary area for improvement but said his focus is straightforward. “I enjoy basketball,” the rookie said. “As long as I’m healthy, I’m going to play every time.”
Heat
MIAMI — After acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason’s headline deal, the Heat are still addressing perimeter concerns. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel indicated that Simone Fontecchio, who re-signed on a one-year veteran minimum contract, could help fill that gap.
Fontecchio owns a career 36.7 percent mark from beyond the arc and is expected to see cleaner looks as defenses focus on Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
