The Los Angeles Lakers are set to add former Syracuse big man William Kyle III on an Exhibit 10 contract for training camp, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Kyle, 22, went undrafted in 2026 and enters the organization as an unrestricted free agent. The 6-foot-10 center/forward averaged 8.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 2.5 blocks over 32 games (28.1 minutes per contest) during his senior season with the Orange. Before transferring to Syracuse, he spent time at South Dakota State and UCLA.

ESPN draft analyst Jeremy Woo ranked Kyle No. 83 on his 2026 prospect board. Under the terms of the Exhibit 10 deal, the rookie could earn a bonus of up to $91,000 if he is waived before the regular season and then logs at least 60 days with the Lakers’ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. The non-guaranteed agreement can also be converted to a two-way contract.
