The Atlanta Hawks announced Thursday that center Jock Landale will be out for a minimum of two additional weeks as he continues to recover from a high right ankle sprain.

The reevaluation timetable puts Landale’s availability for the remainder of the postseason in doubt. Atlanta’s first-round matchup with the New York Knicks could conclude before he is cleared; Game 6 is penciled in for April 30, with a potential Game 7 set for May 2.

Landale was hurt on April 1 against the Orlando Magic when Goga Bitadze pulled him down by the shoulder on a drive to the basket, causing the 6-11 center to land awkwardly. The hard foul sparked an on-court altercation, and head coach Quin Snyder later labeled the play “dirty,” saying he was disappointed the league did not address it more forcefully.

Without Landale, the Hawks will turn to Mouhamed Gueye and late-season addition Tony Bradley to back up starting center Onyeka Okongwu, according to Brad Rowland of Locked on Hawks.

Since arriving from Utah at the trade deadline, Landale averaged 9.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19.4 minutes over 23 games, shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from three-point range.
