Clippers push back decision on Bogdanovic’s $16M team option

The Los Angeles Clippers and guard Bogdan Bogdanovic have agreed to delay the deadline for his $16 million team option for the 2026-27 season, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

The option decision, originally due Friday, has been rescheduled for Monday, June 29—the league-wide cutoff for all player and team option determinations.

Pushing the date back allows the Clippers to keep discussing potential trades that could include Bogdanovic’s expiring salary if the option is exercised. If the club declines the option, the Serbian guard cannot be traded unless it is through a sign-and-trade arrangement.

Bogdanovic, who turns 34 in August, is coming off the least productive year of his NBA career. Limited by injuries to 23 games (three starts), he averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 19.7 minutes while shooting 38.8 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from three-point range—both career lows.

Despite his recent numbers, Bogdanovic has attracted interest from overseas teams, and the Denver Nuggets are also monitoring his situation should he become a free agent.
