The Cleveland Cavaliers may look to bolster their roster this summer with the addition of Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen, according to a trade scenario outlined by Anthony Farris of Cavs on SI.

Farris proposes that Cleveland assemble a package centered on guard Dennis Schroder and other assets—potentially including the No. 29 pick in this month’s draft—in exchange for the 30-year-old Allen. The Suns’ level of interest in such an offer remains unknown.

Allen averaged 16.5 points per game while hitting 40 percent of his three-point attempts last season, reinforcing his reputation as one of the league’s most accurate perimeter shooters. His physical style and on-court edge are qualities Farris argues the Cavaliers have been missing in recent postseason exits, including first-round defeats to the New York Knicks this year and the Indiana Pacers a season earlier.

While acquiring Allen would not address every need, Farris notes the veteran’s shooting, playoff experience and willingness to engage physically could complement Cleveland’s core. The Cavaliers are widely expected to pursue upgrades around Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen as the offseason unfolds.

The idea remains speculative; there have been no confirmed trade talks between Cleveland and Phoenix. Nevertheless, similar proposals are likely to surface as the Cavaliers evaluate ways to strengthen the roster ahead of next season.
