Barcelona has reached a one-year agreement with free-agent shooting guard Tyrese Martin, the Spanish club confirmed in a press release.
Selected 51st overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, the 27-year-old appeared in 122 regular-season games for Atlanta, Brooklyn and Philadelphia. He owns career averages of 6.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 17.7 minutes per game.
Martin’s most productive NBA campaign came in 2024-25, when he recorded 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 60 contests (11 starts) for the Nets, shooting .406 from the field, .351 from beyond the arc and .793 at the foul line. His numbers declined last season to .394/.321/.679, and Brooklyn waived him at the trade deadline. He finished the year on a two-way contract with the 76ers before entering unrestricted free agency.
Barcelona wrapped up the 2025-26 EuroLeague season at 21-17 and went 24-10 in Spain’s Liga ACB, advancing to the domestic finals before falling to Valencia Basket. The club was ousted in the EuroLeague play-in round and missed the postseason.
Martin is Barcelona’s second NBA addition this month, joining forward Stanley Umude, who recently accepted a two-year deal with the Catalan side.
