San Antonio, TX, Apr. 19, 2026 — The No. 1 seed San Antonio Spurs hold an 81-68 advantage over the eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers with 2:08 left in the third quarter of Game 1 in their Western Conference first-round series.

Rookie center Victor Wembanyama has paced San Antonio with 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting, while backcourt mate Stephon Castle has contributed 14 points and a game-high seven assists. Newly acquired guard De’Aaron Fox added 12 points off the bench, and reserve big man Luke Kornet chipped in 10 points and five rebounds.

Portland has been led by forward Deni Avdija, who scored 24 points on 9-of-16 from the floor. Guard Scoot Henderson has 12 points, and center Robert Williams III owns nine points and four boards. Veteran guard Jrue Holiday has struggled from the field (2-for-10) but has handed out seven assists.

San Antonio is shooting 48 percent overall and 48 percent (12-of-25) from three-point range while remaining perfect at the foul line (9-for-9). The Spurs control the glass 35-27 and have led for 91 percent of the contest, building a largest margin of 16. ESPN’s live win probability favors the home team at 97.8 percent.

Portland, which finished the regular season 42-40, is without six-time All-Star Damian Lillard (Achilles, out since Oct. 1). San Antonio (62-20) is missing reserve guard Jordan McLaughlin because of an ankle sprain.
