The Detroit Pistons and guard Kevin Huerter have reached an agreement on a three-year, $27 million contract, according to league sources.
The deal keeps the 27-year-old sharpshooter in Detroit, where he averaged 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists last season while shooting 38.2% from three-point range. Huerter, a first-round pick in 2018, joined the Pistons via trade two years ago and has since become a key part of the team’s perimeter rotation.
The agreement cannot become official until the league’s moratorium on free-agent signings is lifted next week. Huerter’s new contract will run through the 2029-30 season.
