Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant is listed as questionable for Saturday’s Game 1 of the first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a right knee contusion.

A team source told ESPN that Durant sustained the injury during practice earlier this week. According to the source, the Rockets believe the issue is minor and expect him to be available as the series progresses.

Lakers Enter Series Shorthanded

The fourth-seeded Lakers will open the best-of-seven matchup without Luka Doncic (strained hamstring) and Austin Reaves (oblique strain). Both guards were hurt during Los Angeles’ April 2 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Head coach JJ Redick said Tuesday that neither player has a timetable for return and no update is expected this week.

Durant’s First Season in Houston

Durant, 37, averaged 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 78 games during his debut season with Houston—his highest games-played total since 2018-19.

The Rockets host Game 1 at Toyota Center on Saturday.
