INGLEWOOD, Calif., Apr. 16, 2026 — Veteran NBA referee Ben Taylor left Wednesday night’s play-in tournament matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers after suffering an apparent injury midway through the third quarter.

Taylor headed to the tunnel behind one baseline at Intuit Dome with 8:51 remaining in the period, visibly limping as he exited. Following a brief stoppage, alternate official Sean Corbin took over, allowing the game to resume.

The league assigns a fourth official to every postseason contest for situations like this. Taylor is in his 11th NBA season, while Corbin is working his 31st.

At halftime of the single-elimination game, the ninth-seeded Clippers held a 61-53 lead over the tenth-seeded Warriors.
