NEW YORK, Apr. 30, 2026 — Charlotte Hornets forward Moussa Diabaté has earned the NBA’s 2026 Hustle Award, the league announced Thursday.

The honor is determined by a metrics-based formula rather than voting. The system evaluates nine hustle categories: offensive box outs, defensive box outs, screen assists, contested two-pointers, contested three-pointers, offensive loose balls recovered, defensive loose balls recovered, deflections and charges taken.

Diabaté finished 11th or higher among qualified players in six of those statistical areas. The 24-year-old also registered personal bests this season with 7.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels placed second in the hustle standings, followed by Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green — last season’s winner. Memphis Grizzlies wing Cedric Coward ranked fourth, and New York Knicks guard Josh Hart rounded out the top five.

This marks the 10th year the NBA has presented the Hustle Award.
