Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso swatted a television camera away from his face during a heated sequence in Game 1 of the Thunder’s playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs on May 19, 2026.
The confrontation occurred late in the contest as the Thunder trailed by a wide margin. A courtside camera operator moved in for a close-up shot, prompting Caruso to shove the lens aside with his left hand before heading toward the bench. The brief outburst was captured on the game broadcast and quickly circulated on social media.
Officials did not assess a technical foul, and play resumed without further incident. Caruso finished the night scoreless, and Oklahoma City absorbed a lopsided defeat to fall behind 1-0 in the best-of-seven series.
Neither Caruso nor the Thunder addressed the camera incident in their post-game media availability.
