NEW YORK — Guard Landry Shamet has earned the final opening on the New York Knicks’ roster as the club sets its lineup for the 2025-26 NBA season.

The move, reported on Oct. 18, 2025, completes the Knicks’ 15-man squad, bringing training-camp competition to a close and clarifying head coach Tom Thibodeau’s options for the regular-season opener.

Shamet, 28, joins the Knicks after previous stops with the 76ers, Clippers, Nets, Suns and Wizards. His perimeter shooting and experience in multiple playoff runs were seen as assets during camp and preseason workouts.

The decision leaves no remaining vacancies on New York’s active roster as preparations continue for the team’s first game of the new campaign.
