Kings Waive Two-Way Guard Isaiah Stevens

The Sacramento Kings have released guard Isaiah Stevens, closing his two-way contract with the club, according to Friday’s NBA transaction log and earlier reporting from HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
Scotto first noted the move at 4:30 p.m. ET; the league’s official record confirmed the waiver at 4:46 p.m. ET.
Stevens, 25, joined the NBA as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State in 2024. The 5-foot-11 point guard initially signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Miami Heat that fall but was released before the 2024-25 season tipped off. Miami brought him back on a two-way contract in late December 2024, and he finished his rookie year under that agreement.
After parting ways with the Heat last summer, Stevens accepted a two-way offer from Sacramento. He remained on that pact throughout the 2025-26 campaign, appearing in three NBA games—matching the total from his stint in Miami.
While NBA minutes were scarce, Stevens produced in the G League. In 33 games for the Stockton Kings last season, he averaged 14.5 points, 8.6 assists against 2.6 turnovers, 3.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals across 33.6 minutes, shooting 47.0% from the field, 29.2% from three and 85.0% at the free-throw line.
Sacramento now has one two-way slot open. The other two-way spots are held by guard Adam Flagler and forward Jonathan Mogbo, both of whom signed two-year, two-way contracts earlier this summer.
