Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said his youngest child, Zhuri, will be the primary voice he listens to when he weighs his options in the next NBA free-agency period.
James revealed the family dynamic during a recent conversation about his future, explaining that Zhuri’s preferences will carry more weight than advice from agents, coaches or teammates. The four-time NBA champion did not elaborate on what his daughter wants, but he made it clear that her opinion now tops his decision-making list.
The three-time Olympic medalist is expected to reach free agency after the coming season. Where he signs could hinge, at least in part, on what 11-year-old Zhuri tells him, James acknowledged.
The Lakers forward has previously spoken about the importance of family in his career moves, but this is the first time he has singled out Zhuri as the decisive factor.
