Paris Basketball has reached a one-year agreement with veteran forward T.J. Warren, the French club announced. The deal sends the 32-year-old overseas for the first time after a decade in the NBA with four different teams.
According to BasketNews reporter Donatas Urbonas, Warren turned down more lucrative offers from other European clubs, opting for Paris because of the opportunity for a larger role and the appeal of the city.
Warren was not on an NBA roster last season, but he appeared in eight G League games with the Westchester Knicks after joining them in mid-February. In that stretch, he averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists across 29.1 minutes, shooting 48.6% from the field and 34.8% from beyond the arc. The previous season, he logged 21 games with Westchester and was named to the All-G League Third Team.
His most recent NBA action came in the 2023-24 campaign, when he played 11 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Warren earned a standard contract there after signing two separate two-way deals earlier in the season.
The peak of Warren’s NBA career occurred in the 2020 Orlando bubble, where he averaged 31.0 points over six games for the Indiana Pacers and secured a spot on the All-Bubble First Team. A stress fracture in his left foot, sustained in December 2020, limited him to four total appearances over the following two seasons. He was later traded to the Brooklyn Nets at the 2023 trade deadline but never regained a consistent rotation role.
This move to Paris marks a new chapter for Warren, who now looks to reignite his career in France’s top league.
