Luka Doncic is pleased with the Los Angeles Lakers’ busy offseason, according to Dan Woike of The Athletic. Team officials have kept regular contact with the All-NBA guard, who is spending the summer in Europe, and Woike reports that Doncic “loves” the club’s recent decisions to retain guard Austin Reaves and acquire center Walker Kessler in a reported sign-and-trade, moves that addressed his top roster wishes.

Karaban out at least one week

Sacramento Kings first-round pick Alex Karaban will miss a minimum of seven days after spraining his right ankle during Thursday’s practice, team insider James Ham reported on X (formerly Twitter). An MRI confirmed the injury, and the No. 29 overall selection from UConn will be re-evaluated in a week.

Lendeborg’s sharp debut

Golden State Warriors lottery choice Yaxel Lendeborg made an efficient first appearance at the California Classic, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area noted. The former University of Michigan standout logged 22 minutes, scored 19 points on 6-for-6 shooting—including four three-pointers—and led the Warriors with five rebounds and six assists while adding a block and a steal. Lendeborg graded his own night a “B,” citing missed defensive rotations, especially in the fourth quarter.

Carr scores 19 despite Lakers’ rough outing

Although the Lakers dropped the same contest by 32 points, rookie guard Cameron Carr also posted 19 points, hitting 7-of-15 shots. “It was exciting, a blessing,” Carr told Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Times. “Just the opportunity to step on the court with these dudes and learn how we’re coming together.”

Two-year two-ways for Flagler, Mogbo

Keith Smith of Spotrac reported that the Kings’ two-way contracts for guards Adam Flagler and Jonathan Mogbo span two seasons each. Flagler saw action in 39 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2023-25, while Mogbo appeared in 40 contests for the Toronto Raptors last year before becoming a free agent when Toronto declined its team option.
