Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the NBA’s back-to-back MVP, and San Antonio Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama lead this season’s All-NBA teams, released on May 24, 2026, shortly before Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.

They are joined on the First Team by Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic and Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham—the other three players who finished in the top five of this year’s MVP voting.

First Team highlights

• Gilgeous-Alexander and Jokic were unanimous choices, while Wembanyama missed unanimity by one vote.
• Wembanyama becomes the first Spur on the First Team since Kawhi Leonard in 2017 and earns the honor in the same year he became the league’s first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year.
• Jokic collects his sixth First Team nod and eighth All-NBA selection overall, doubling any other player in Nuggets history.
• Doncic, the league’s scoring leader at 33.5 points per game, secures his sixth All-NBA appearance.
• Cunningham earns his second All-NBA berth after landing on the Third Team last season.

Both Doncic and Cunningham were granted exceptions to the NBA’s 65-game eligibility rule after each logged 64 regular-season appearances.

Second Team

The Second Team features Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell and LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard.

Durant extends his résumé to 12 total All-NBA selections—six on the First Team and six on the Second—becoming the first player to earn the honor with five different franchises. Brunson and Mitchell each make their third overall appearance, while Brown logs his second Second Team nod and Leonard picks up his sixth career selection.

Third Team

The Third Team is comprised entirely of first-time honorees: Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson, Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren, Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey, Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren and Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray.

Duren and Cunningham become the Pistons’ first All-NBA duo since Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace in 2006.

Notable absences

LeBron James missed the 65-game requirement, marking only the second season in his 23-year career without an All-NBA selection. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo were also ineligible, ending Antetokounmpo’s eight-year streak of appearing on every ballot.

Season awards roundup

The All-NBA announcement concludes the league’s end-of-season honors, which also included:

  • All-Defensive and All-Rookie teams
  • Clutch Player of the Year: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
  • Most Improved Player: Hawks guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker
  • Sixth Man of the Year: Spurs forward Keldon Johnson
  • Coach of the Year: Detroit Pistons’ J.B. Bickerstaff
  • Rookie of the Year: Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg

The Spurs evened their Western Conference finals series with the Thunder at 2-2 by winning Game 4, 103-82, later the same night the teams were announced.
